Description
There are Assassins and then, there are Royal Assassins.
Among those known Assassin's Guilds, the most feared, admired and respected of Clerin, are those of the Sha-Kau Order. It is said there can be one person in a room with an Assassin and the target wouldn't know of their existence until it was too late to draw even a solitary breath. If a Sha-Kau assassin is found out or killed, then they are not a true Sha-Kau. To cloud the mind of a victim is almost second nature to their skills. Moving among a crowed of people, undetected, is a mark of their prowess. And to kill without their victim even knowing what struck them down, is their crowning achievement.
They have served the Royal house of Clerin for centuries and hold an upstanding tradition of loyalty, fealty and their very lives, to the crown they swear to protect. Serving as bodyguards and Royal Assassins to the kings of old to the present day.
Their world is one of stealth, blood and silence. And, unlike most Assassin's Guilds of the world, the Sha-Kau are predominately female.
Selectively chosen from among members of their own order, and rumored to be blood tied to the legendary Lost Elvish tribes of the Wilds. Seers carefully selecting, those bloodlines that will produce the most effective assassins in the class, and begin their training from a very tender age. Those that reach the highest class of the Order are granted the use of the Order title in their name. Among those chosen to become the best of the best are branded at birth with the sigil of the crossed arrow and blade, a mark of honour they bear until the day of their death.
Silence, to them, is most certainly, golden. And, while not mute by birth or design, they are so by choice. Their chosen means of communication with their patrons and others of their order, is telepathy or the written word. With mental and fighting skills honed to near perfection by centuries of intensive, selective training, they are among the most lethal of warriors in a kings arsenal. And once sworn to a crown, they will defend it with their life...and any others that happen to get in the way.
When a king of Clerin dies or is killed, and there is no heir of age apparent, the task of tradition falls to his Assassin to see that all 'loose ends' are tied up in preparation for the new king. This means the cleansing of the Royal Harem, the kings immediate Guard and some members of his court...at least those who will not honour the tradition of self-sacrifice. The Assassin, too, will then take her own life so that a successor might be of fresh use to the new king.

Lihya-Sha is the new Royal Assassin assigned to King Perseus of Clerin.
To her order, she represents the pinnacle of her class. To her patron, she represents his continued existence and presence on the throne of Clerin.

King Perseus: Applauding A fantastic character and wonderful addition to our realm, my dear! King Percy loves her, and I think she's simply stunning. Wonderful background and lighting on her, and I love the sparkly effect on the blade. Makes it look all the more keen! And I love the background and history for her you've developed! WOW! That is a great piece of work both in image and story! I love the lighting and the use of the candles was well done. I like the sharp contrast of the foreground and background, gives it the look of a rampart temple or elevated platfom. Add to the story, in my opinion. To me the way it looks is that she has to prove herself at every turn and even to making it to the temple was a test. I agree with Sward80 that the glint off the sword edge adds a great touch to this image.

Very nice work. If I may pose a suggestion? Add some side point or spot lights to show the light from the candles. It would increase the dimensionality of the character while adding some drama.

Fantastic work Stacey. You did really fine work with a dark lit scene. There is just enough light to see what we need to see of her... perfect set up for an assasin. Forevernyt has an interesting suggestion with the point lights for sure. But I like the white light coupled with the blue... it is very eiery.
