Hi, I'm Marilyn. Â I've been posting here on RR for a few years now and thought it was time to update my profile. Â It's been wonderful learning so much from the amazingly talented people here. Â I've had the chance to meet many in person and some have become great and good friends. Â Starting with a Kodak Brownie camera when I was about 7 or 8, moving up to Instamatics, Polaroids, then the Pentax K1000 that really got me on the way, I've been looking at the world thru a lens for a long time. Â Got the bug honestly; my dad was a photographer and gave me the gene!! Â Digital changed the world and I jumped in with both feet. Â You would've gone thru 100's of rolls of film in one day the way we can shoot and delete all day long. Â Progess...it can be awesome sometimes.
At any rate, RR rocks, the talent is over the top and I'm just gonna keep on shooting!!
Thanks for looking and keep those cameras rollin'!!
peace.....marilyn

An era of car manafacturing that has gone for good, these days it's fuel economy that is the main factor, there are very few modern day cars that I find comfortable being six four and a half, however, these older models I reacall were extremely comfortable, I miss the old cars :(...Anyway, I am reambling here LOL, Great shot maz, isn't that interior the bomb?!

Wish I kept my car this clean!!! Nice capture of this beautiful interior!

Ooh, remember those big wide front seats? How many teenagers could you squeeze into one of those? Turn the corner fast and slide up against the driver... fun memories!

Great to see a car big enough to make out in on the front seat! Lovely colors and great pov Marilyn.

Lovely! (Never thought i'd say that about a car!)

Love those 64 Chevy Impala

Very bright! I remember our family ritual for long trips. The first two sisters would rush out to grab the middle of the front seat (for the air conditioning)and a window seat. The last two sisters would dawdle trying to be last so as not to get stuck in the middle in the back. Enforced sisterly togetherness can make even spacious cars seem a little cramped. I don't even want to think about the trip when four grown sisters (and the parents) went from New Jersey to Louisiana in a Plymouth Valiant. Shudder! Great capture!

Conjures up thoughts of Steven Kings 'Christine', although this Impala exudes a friendly aura. Warm photo of a classic and I just love those jukebox style dashboards.

love the incredibly bright whites, and reds, and that grill, and the canyons & shadows...fine capture of motion & light & contour & energy...I think your angle let it all come out better than if you'd caught a straight-on or side shot. Love the guy outside too! Man that was a sunny day! The sun was out full force for you, wasn't it! Love the shot!
