Description
This is from last fall in Huntington Beach. I rode my bike along the Santa Ana River and discovered this egret just waiting for me. Wasn't that nice of him??

I like this quite a lot! Egrets are such cool birds! I love the colors here and the ripples of the water are superbly caught! I think I'll need to make a trip out west! But that's after two certain people come east!

well jodie pointed out the pun (wading), to show you how slow I am! Yes, the bird is a beauty, but I agree that the reflection is beautiful too, it's is a Japanese calligraphy in a zen painting. From Native American messengers & spirits, to zen simplicity and clarity. The bird creates the simplest strokes across the water...beautiful bold simple...and it harmonizes with the simple grace of the bird's lines. Beautiful piece.
