Description
Long black skirt
With a black jacket
A white top
With a big white bow
Beneath her chin
Dark stockings
Black dress shoes
freshly polished
Dark black hair
With just a flavor of gray
Laced in
She had light red lipstick
With just a touch of rouge
And to top it all off
She had this little green hat
Placed exactly where she wanted it
Pinned so it wouldn’t move
As they entered the burger king
You could tell
They were mother, daughter and granddaughter
She was beautiful
Not so much in the way she looked
But in the pride she took
In the way she looked
With every little hair in place
She felt as beautiful
As the sunshine
Back straight
Shoulders back
She walks like deity
Because she is
Long live the queen
In the little green hat

Sweet!!! My mom lives in a retirement complex,...sounds way better than old folks home, and I love the way some of the women there carry themselves, so regal and proud! And well they should, for all they've endured and survived thus. All of them deserve to be queenly, and be treated as such. Awesome words as always Randy,....and another great reminder as to how we should see things!
