Description

Started to do a close crop on this guy but the more I looked at the shot I realized that the natural habitat was too much apart of the shot to cut it out. This old man was weathered and worse for the ware with torn and tattered wings his color starting to darken and he wasn’t quite as excitable as the other Dragonflies; too many close calls with destiny. Know in the twilight of his life and in his visibly rough condition I felt he and the rugged habitat that he seemed to prefer belonged together. Thanks for stopping by to view one more from the end of the trail series, and for any comments you care to leave. Thanks for the favs on the last and past posts, have a great week!

Well done shot and POV. I like the whole scene, looks like you said - the old dragonfly and the habitat fitting together perfectly.

Good choice! The irregular branches frame him very well. Great image!

I like the wider view, the b'fly almost blend in to the surounding. Such a wonderful warm tone here.
