Description
Every so often my bacteria ask if they can hang out in bars & discos. I let them. The top one is Trish, the bottom one's Slavko. I don't know the middle ones, but they're damn good dancers. (Photographed by a freelance enzyme. He's a schoolteacher by day...)

Koooooool! Ask them if they saw my intimate friend, Asper Gilloma. Since his enemy gave up trying to poison him, he's been out and about a lot more, although he's not that keen on discos, more opera and ballet. Such a beautiful image, Mark, especially considering the subject matter!

Sounds like a great party. Original and fun.

Another of your gorgeous works that needs to be printed on a ten-foot length of silk and hung from the ceiling. Better yet, a three-foot piece of silk, and sell them at the scarf counter at Nordstroms for $250 a pop. I love the top layer. It's like someone threw a drink and it caught the reflections from the disco-ball and exploded into a million pieces of light. Stunning!

lol,but it's to beautiful for bacteria.

Okay Mark you hkave me smiling here as only you can do with your delightful art and great sense of humor. Also I think only you could give such life to bacteria and almost have me believing they can dance as that is what they seem to be doing here. I personally am a bit partial to Trish as I think I've seen her out dancing before ;) Great work and have a wonderful day

Well here I move a meter away from my pc, as I am not sure it wont effect on me if I stay too close :-) Its beauty sure does. Are you sure it isnt some kind of spirit with a little extra plasma bobles? Well it could be a close up of a glass of champagne. Your art always gives exiting "associations". DANG! I have always troubles spelling that word LOL ! Wonderful art Mark.

I can never get on a first-name basis with the bacteria crawling all over me. You are amazing, Mark.you can get them to pose for you.Beautiful piece.

fantastic bacteria!!! I love their lights!!! superlative!!
beachzz
You have the MOST beautiful bacteria!!! I think you should let them out more often, they obviously shine when released into the wild. I can hear it now, "stayin alive, stayin alive"--wow, one of em's even wearing that white suit (does John Travolta know????).

Excellent image. Great textures, colour and style! Very nice artwork!

Really gorgeous work, Mark; I can add nothing except "me too" to what everyone else said! I vote for the 50 foot wall hanging in a very large atrium...

I think of water and green chrome - very nicely unified design, and yes it would be way cool on a long piece of silk. Way cool dude.

Loved beachzz comment. LOL. Do discos exist anymore? I suspect if they do, it makes sense that bacteria would find them. This is a lovely piece. I like the colors and movement. I do hope your bacteria are healthy bacteria that fight the good fight for you. In that case do let them dance and sparkle in the bright lights whenever possible. Your image is a feast for the eyes, and it does belong on a wall. It reminds me of a lit waterfall or indoor fountain.

Even bacteria needs a wild night out once in a while. Funny one. CC

Wonderful colors and effects. Great image!!

super fantastic gang of bacteria on their day off! they made me enjoy a day dampened by a seance at the dentist's! Thanks!!!!!!!

Ultra, beyond belief, artistic image in this one!!! Totally fantabulous! This suggests what one might see standing at the mouth of a cave behind a huge waterfall and looking out through the cascade of water at the surrounding flora, Mark! Rather than the evil type e-coli bacteria, this is the good kind found in yogurt.

LMAO!! This is just too much! A school teacher by day? Oh how sad. lol. They ARE good dancers, but need to get out more - if you can trust them to keep to themselves. Do they bring their own bacillus covered pixie dust or just disco balls in miniature? Simply awesome in glitter and pizazz! Blessings to their photographer...

Decisamente spericolati questi batteri!!!Great image!:)

Uh .. Uh .. uh .. uh .. Staying Aliiiiiiiiiive .. oops, blushes .. busted, just singing and dancing with Trish and Slavko .. giggles thanks to beachzz, now I cannot get that tune out of my head! Well, I'm not sure I'm really seeing Trish and Slavko, I'm more seeing the bottom of the gene pool .. giggles, sorry, really, in the pond, there's a flashes of goldfish amongst the water plants, bubbles rising because something has disturbed the peace here, a little otter perhaps, joyfully swimming amongst the reeds and the grasses growing in this little pond, releasing all the oxygen bubbles clinging to the plantlife ... frogs .. I hear frogs singing ... sigh ..

Trish looks like she's having a good time! Slavko looks like one of those disco denizens I saw in Prague...one of those territorial guys in Karlove Lazne (the biggest nightclub in Central Europe. It's five stories tall and full of guys (Mostly Italian) threatening each other with chest hair displays peeking from silk shirts and whatnot.) I love all of your artwork, but your anthropomorphic viruses and bacteria (with names like Trish) are always such an incredible, rich pleasure. The textures and amorphous shapes always suggest incredibly rich worlds and they exist in such balance. This is no exception, and the colors are astounding...very warm, despite the fact that they're "cool" colors. And yeah, it does look as if someone's had an unfortunate Gin-and-Tonic incident that simply adds to the wonders already apparent in this piece of work. This is brilliant!
