Happy Birthday, Jordan!!
Today is my son’s birthday. He’s 30---and I don’t know if he’s more freaked out by that than I am. For certainly, I got no older!! Realizing my baby boy turned into such a wonderful man is beyond mind boggling. He knows exactly who he is, what he wants, and he shares himself with everyone. He has pushed me to do things I would never have done (those fotos? --Not even HALF as wild as the trip he took me on last year!!). I’ve seen him with his friends, where he lives and works, and it’s joyous. From those first tentative steps to rafting Class 5 rapids, “back country” (read not quite legal) snowboarding, he has launched himself into life with everything he has. I’m proud of him and proud to be his mom.
So, yes, Happy Birthday, Jordan!!!

This is what I was meant to do...! and it's on my bucket list. No more class 2 and 3 white water...go for the big stuff. Best wishes to Jordan...and BTW, my older boy just turned 37. That's almost as frightening as this white water!

I've communicated about this with you personally, and you've written very lovingly & movingly of Jordan, and it's very touching to see it. Yes he seems a very whole & confident person, and from what you've said also a very generous person. (A reflection of his mother.) And it's wonderful that you've shared this with everyone & shared your pride. It's a wonderful little dedi and the pics are wonderful. Hats off to you & your son, it's great to see this bond & appreciation. And I wish him many more, and you many more years of joy for someone so dear to you...
