Hello,
I am a photographer, I love taking pictures.
I am currently in a relationship in which I am incouraged to be myself. The concept of my ideas and desires being supported came hard to me. This actually took me years to grasp, but he says I am his butterfly and just starting to spread my wings.
Any and all comments are encouraged as well as suggestions too. Thank you for the comments you leave as well as suggestions. I will try to find interesting photo opportunities so that I can give you wonderful pictures to view.

Update: 06-20-09
I have found another family on Renderosity. All the people here are just incredible. Things are starting to change in a really positive direction for me. I am currently starting to do portraits, and am thinking about making this my full time position. One day I hope to tell my boss to jump in the lake. I think having a career that I love and can be proud of is now my goal.
Clarification 09-20-09
I do portraits for family members and friends. I don't charge them because I need someone to practice with.
Well I think I found something that I can be proud of. Not in photography, but in sales. I am my own boss. I can never be fired or laid off. I sell stuff I use and love. So I know I can stand behind it. Just need to build my customer base. Once I do, I will just do this and only this.
       Friends Always,
                            Cheri

I REMEMBER THAT FROG!!! Ok, just kidding and I wasn't jealous at all of their making all friendly like right in front of me while I was trying to get a decent shot. It took so long to take because the view finder on the camera kept getting all steamed up,....probably the humidity....pseudopods draped all over her,.sigh! I recall the moment Cheri realized just where we were and what the sign said, her eyes got as big as saucers, or almost as big as that misbegotten frog things, and started prancing about like a little school girl. I knew she had a thing about Timbuktu, just never knew the whole story. I wish I could take her to the real place, but for now this will just have to do. At least she can say she had been there, And I get the satisfaction of having brought her to a place of her dreams....sort of. And not that overgrown, tongue lolling steroidal frog beast!

Really funny story...Well Timbuktu looks great! Very well done!

Superb clarity, colors and lighting in this right-down-the-middle shot of the artful entrance to the legendary land, Cheri! And I always thought that Timbuktu was just a collection of old grass shacks and spear-toting natives amidst a lot of jungle! This is a real eye opener! First class all the way!

Love the story that goes with this image, and the image itself. Lightheartedness is definitely a good thing to have in trying times! And we're definitely sending love back to you.

I love this. What a wonderful thing, to have someplace you can go to escape. I've often wished that locations with the same placename were somehow linked, so that if you walked through that gate in Florida, you would come out the other side in Mali in the real Timbuktu! There's a town near me called Lynnwood, and there's another Lynnwood just outside Johannesburg, where one of my dearest friends lives. Wouldn't it be great to be able to drive five miles down the road and suddenly be in South Africa, only minutes away from a distant friend?

LOL, that's pretty funny, cuz Timbuktu was somewhere I didn't really think existed!! I didn't use that word quite the same way, but it always represented a place very far away, very exotic!
