Description

And from 1925, Rodgers & Hart, here's Manhattan ... popularly known as I'll Take Manhattan We had a family gathering a couple weeks ago, and Trent fixed himself a Manhattan, which I just HAD to take pictures of! And of course I had to taste it, as well. Yummy, and very sweet! (It's whisky, sweet vermouth, and bitters. He makes his with Southern Comfort.)

I'm not a drinker, never had a Manhattan, but I'm headed to physical therapy in one hour and a Manhattan is looking pretty good to me at the moment. :>) See how good your photography is...makes me think Manhattan's and therapy might be a good combination. Don't know what the therapist might think with a drunk on his hands, though.

Love the look, but one sniff of a barmaid's apron and I'm flat on my back!

It's rather and artistic drink, Never had one. I probability would just sit and stare at the beauty in the glass. Nah I'd drink it after while. Then again I did let a perfect glass of champagne get warm and flat because I was watching the bubbles. No camera on me that night. Awesome shot, love it!

Stellar clarity, colors, reflections and refractions in this elegant portrait! I believe Mickey Rooney played either Rogers or Hart in a movie featuring the song: I'll take Manhattan, the Bronx, and Staten Island too, it's lovely going through the zoo. It's very fancy on old Delaney Street, you know. The subway charms us so, when balmy breezes blow to and fro. And tell me what street compares with Mott street in July, Sweet push carts gently gliding by The great big city's a wondrous toy, just made for a girl and boy. I'll turn Manhattan into an isle of joy.

another of your scintillating glass shots, in part because of your respect for glass & its ability to capture & hold hues, but part because of the surroundings you capture around it: the dark reflective table, the bluish tones of a window (I presume), and the bright yellows on the left. (Rules of threes here, the little buggers.) And your bursts of reflection—the yellow burst in the drink and on the table—are wonderful highlights. If I drank a Manhattan, btw—and I have—I'd be asleep under the table or speaking in tongues. Don't get any ideas either: People who've made me drunk have been really sorry, I just smile a lot and forget where I am...Glass is one of your specialties, and this shows us why...
