Description
Captured 8/29/09, in the early morning, within walking distance of my reactionary residence.
Two shots of the same rose using different POVs, with a dream filter applied under each original.
Despite assurances by the weather man late last week that we would have a cooling trend, it's still hotter than hades in my immediate area. I think I even saw a guy with fiery red eyes and two horns on his head drive by around noon, and he was laughing.
Toodles, and tallyho.

ALL so lovely! The soft focus effect makes the lower of each one look SOOOO romantic. "Isn't it romantic? Music in the night, a dream that can be heard. Isn't it romantic? Moving shadows write the oldest magic word." :-) A+, Harry. Lucky you didn't have to hear me sing it!

Lovely! The soft yellow color lends itself well to that filter.

A beautiful rose, and I'm sure it smelled wonderful! The petals look so creamy...watch out for that guy with the horns, fires tend to break out in his vicinity!

First, the two 'regular' shots are beautiful, with the undulations and modulated light in top form; they're truly beautiful. Then the two filtered shots edge towards abstraction. I don't know what a 'dream' filter is (iI have PS CS1), but it looks like a combo of blurs & subtle sharpening & you used it well. And in the last shot, it really is an abstract painting with the most delicate outlines floating in a sea of cream colors. (Some programs call this a "gloom" filter—a rather off-putting name!) Beautiful rose shots, and great to see the filter explorations alongside them.
