Description

I've been playing with the macro lens :) I shot this one with the camera set in 'shutter priorty' or Tv mode. Wasn't the timing super? The butterfly smiled for me! lol Another story... As you may know, I am a big amateur when it comes to the dslr. Anyway, I have been just shooting stuff all over to get used to the camera and the settings, seeing what it does. Well, a while back, I noticed that intermittently the shutter speed was getting 'stuck' at 1/200. I tried to figure out what the problem was, I'd turn the camera off, and when I turned it back on sometimes it would fix itself. But I kept having the same problem. Finally, I e-mailed Canon to see what the deal was. They led me through a couple things to try.. and it worked for a time. So, Friday I took the camera out to pay super close attention to when the problem occurred to see if there was some sort of pattern. Finally, I spotted the pattern... it happened when I activated the pop-up flash. DUH! It's supposed to do that when the flash is on. LMBO. I just thought you'd like a laugh at my expense. hehehe. (At least I didn't send it in for repairs!) My previous upload, "The birds are gone.. It's all mine now!!!" Thanks for looking and your comments. I hope you all had an enjoyable weekend and are prepared for the week ahead! Hugs, ~Melinda~

Stellar vignetting in this magnificent macro, Melinda! The butty, with the long proboscis, seems to be a bit startled at your photo efforts. LOL at your camera problems because I often experience similar hangups with just my little old aim and shoot camera.

What a wonderful shot! I love the story along with it. For all that you've done, this came out beautifully. Fantastic work! The light is fantastic and the colors really pop, even though they're subtle. This is brilliant!
