Description

This was a day to just wash away. One of those at work that followed Murphy's Law too well. Murphy's Law for those not familiar goes like this: If it can possibly go wrong it will, and then throw the poor system and sales analyst in pure mayhem. So I am washing away the day with this waterfall. This is one of the waterfalls at Granite Park in Montello Wisconsin. I used Dave's computer to upload in hope it will upload better and be seen in it's full glory. If this works I may be transferring my photos back here to upload them. By my uploading from my computer I have been unintentionally cheating you of the full beauty. My graphics card on my computer was not meant for what I have been using it for. The computer was actually for my sister, but it was so much faster then her windows 95 that is scared her and we bought it back from her. We had it built basically for email and web surfing. Then it became my work from home computer. I then decided to fully jump into photgraphy and was using it. From that computer my pictures were grainy and poor quality. I thought something happen to my camera. Thank you for looking. Thank you for all the positive thoughts, vibes and prayers. Thank you for all the lit candles. Most of all thank you for you. I love the water frozen in time look that this has. I'm not sure though that this particular shot was the best example to use, that or making things fit the required specs just takes too much away from the photo. As is, this still looks a bit grainy zoomed in. Yet the photo you e-mailed me. prior to playing with it was incredible, sharp and amazingly huge. One had to scroll around in order to see it all. In fact,.....to prove my point, if any of you would really like to see it as it's meant, site mail me your e-mail address and I'll pass on the real thing. And then delete the address so that there aren't any worries about my abusing it at a later date.....although I guess you'd have to trust me on that one. I'm sorry you had a bad day sweetie, I'm pretty sure that I can come up with something to take your mind of it. And this time it won't involve dehydrated tomatoes or smearing mustard all over your body, PROMISE!!

A gorgeous shot, one well worth looking at... that I can believe will be able to wash away a bad day. It certainly makes me feel better about this afternoon (which wasn't pleasant) just looking at it. Sending more good wishes your way....

Superlative shot of the cascading waterfalls, frozen for eternity in their downward plunge toward the lake below, Cheri! Those huge boulders/rocks look awesome and something not to be toyed with. Interesting about the toils and travails vis-a-vis your computers.

Murphy's Law: If anything can go wrong, it will go wrong. O'Toole's Axiom: Murphy was an optimist. Okay, having said that...this is a gorgeous capture and I love the meaning behind it as well. I can do with a bit of cleansing myself! The clarity of this is wonderful and I can definitely see that this is a place I'd love to visit. Fantastic colors and there's a wonderful atmosphere to this shot as well. As always, great work! I do agree with auntietk that this is a stunning shot.

I did wash away the day.. had to... off to a new day tomorrow which will be the present... Enjoy the present while you can it leaves quickly. Wash away the past when you can.
