Description

Ok I am not trying in no way to push it. I wanted to upload a picture which I never put on the other computer. I crossed the 3 foot gap between my computer and Dave's computer( which used to be our computer, which is why I have pictures on it.) opened up my Cheri's folder and started hunting though the mass amount of pictures from last year and before Christmas. I found this one. As pretty as this snow coming down was, this storm was one of our biggest storms last year. This is snow storm Edward. Yep, you heard of naming hurricanes, well in Northeast Wisconsin we name snow storms. This one dumped 18 inches on us for Christmas. I have another one to post that was taken toward the end of the storm. You got to see that one. Ok let me know how it uploaded. I am hoping it's not grainy. The graphics card on this computer is awesome. So even if it were I might not be able to tell. Thank you all those prayers, positive vibes, love and lit candles. You are the most amazing group of people in the world. I am so proud to be a part of this community and to call you all my Rendo family. Love and peace, Cheri

Beautiful but OMG what a mess to shovel up! Not only did we get 18 inches of snow, but it started out wet and heavy,...and then the wind picked up. We ended up with three foot+ drifts, and the top covering insulated the bottom so that it got to stay wet and heavy. People with snow blowers had to pick them up and try to remove the snow in layers. Yes it was all as pretty as a postcard as it was coming down, but my back hurt for weeks after the clean up. This looks awesome on this one sweetie, I hope that all of the rest to comment let you know how this turns out on theirs. So please let us know, zoom in....does it pixelate out, or maintain it's integrity? We're trying to test whether or not it really does make a difference where Cheri uploads from, and need your input. I hope her posting this particular shot doesn't become a bad omen! My back aches from just seeing this again,........I'm going to go take a hot bath! Later.

Grainy it is not! Stellar everything in this Christmasy capture, Cheri! Terrific composition and ambiance, young lady! But naming a snowstorm? Aren't we getting a bit carried away?

Now I've never heard of this particular type of christening event. Is there an official keeper of snow storm names so as to avoid confusion? Is it like naming the hurricanes, where you alternate the name gender? Who gets to pick the name? Ok, 'nuff questions, I hope it's awhile before you need to start dusting off the name book anyway. Great shot : )

No graininess here! Absolutely beautiful capture! Snow is not usually a problem in San Antonio. We do occassionally get ice, and then all bets are off on avoiding spinning cars on the highways.

I have seen this exactly this way. It is a special feeling as you sit at the window and watch in the night. The mood is just as it should be.

I saw the part 2 first and thought, "It's too damn early for this type of thing to happen. Where do they live, Siberia?" Glad it was last year. Anyway, a loverly pic of the snow coming down! I'm with Dave about shovelling and a hot bath!

WOW...very pretty! Great shot! Here in southern North Carolina, we very seldom get snow, only flurries here and there maybe once a year if that! Very pretty photo!
