Hi, I'm Marilyn.  I've been posting here on RR for a few years now and thought it was time to update my profile.  It's been wonderful learning so much from the amazingly talented people here.  I've had the chance to meet many in person and some have become great and good friends.  Starting with a Kodak Brownie camera when I was about 7 or 8, moving up to Instamatics, Polaroids, then the Pentax K1000 that really got me on the way, I've been looking at the world thru a lens for a long time.  Got the bug honestly; my dad was a photographer and gave me the gene!!  Digital changed the world and I jumped in with both feet.  You would've gone thru 100's of rolls of film in one day the way we can shoot and delete all day long.  Progess...it can be awesome sometimes.
At any rate, RR rocks, the talent is over the top and I'm just gonna keep on shooting!!
Thanks for looking and keep those cameras rollin'!!
peace.....marilyn

I love the way you post plane shots before your big trips...and this one is beautiful. You gave us clouds that look almost like golden strands or a gold shag carpet, and the light on the wings is beautiful too. I know, we're supposed to concentrate on the trip, but you have to know that the shot itself is scintillating, not just a "typical" plane shot. Not at all. As for the trip, I've had visitations many many times over the years, but very few have been like this one. Precious few. It was just wondrous Marilyn, and to actually see you all in person & watch you interact, and interact with you myself, was just the best. I mean the best. The shot captures the glow of going someplace new & you brought it with you. Wonderful inauguration! (And btw, did you know that 'inauguration' has the root, "to augur"? To divine? And it was done with birds...nice thought, isn't it, looking at a metal plane flying its way to new shores?)
