Description

Ok Yesterday I posted that beautiful start to this storm. For those who missed it copy and paste this into your browser: http://www.renderosity.com/mod/gallery/index.php?image_id=1948848 This is near the end of the storm. This was our first big storm of the season with many more to come. at least once a week we had a big one. With little 6 to 7 inch snow falls in between. We set a record between Thanksgiving and the beginning of April with 177 inches for the season. Now it doesn't look so pretty anymore. Have a great night. Thank you for all the prayers, lit candles, positive vibes and love. Peace and love to you all, Cheri

Wow! You do live in a land of plenty when it comes to snow:) Those in between storms of 7-9 inches seems big in Kansas and we only get a few of those. Neat photo!!! Have a great weekend.

Great feeling of depth, plus stellar, almost Londonlike, ambiance, to the whole scene, Cheri, with parking meters struggling to stay alive above the drifts. If this was the first big storm of the season, how come it wasn't named using the first letter of the alphabet: A, such as in Alice, instead of E, as in Edward?

I see so little of this and were I there, I would rush out, spread my arms wide, dance a little (very little and with total lack of grace), and stick my tongue out to taste it. Then I would run inside, bundle in five layers of clothing, waddle to the kitchen for some hot chocolate, cuddle under a blanket and plan to stir only when a call of nature absolutely demands it. Beautiful capture!

This is depressing! ;) I keep having the feeling I need to find the snowblower! Lots of white stuff there!

Yeah!... it's kinda like that! By the time we had shoveled out the apron to the driveway, we were carrying the snow several feet down the road. It finally became too difficult to try and throw it more than eight feet up! Remember from last nights post, the bottom stuff was wet and heavy. The biggest problem from digging out from this one, was that the temperature had dropped about thirty degrees, meaning that everything was about to turn rock solid ice if it wasn't gotten rid of really soon. There were many in town that missed that window, and had 18 inches minimum of ice on there walks for months. The plows didn't manage to clear all of the roads either, this one storm caused a big mess for several weeks. On top of this, we were getting more storms dropping another 5 to 6 inches at least once a week. It became a record year, a year my back will never forget!

That is an amazing amount of snowfall!!!!! Fantastic job of putting my imagination in the action and the setting!!!!!! It is beautiful but lots of trouble and hard work!!!!!!! Not sure I would want to even think of shovelling out of that mess!!!!! You got one strong back Dave!!!!! Super work!!!!!!

Again, snow is really purty provided no shovelling is involved. I groan at Dave's adventure in shovelling. Been there and done that!
