Description
I learned Thursday Morning that Mary Travers, the angel-voiced member of Peter, Paul & Mary, passed away at the age of 72, after fighting a valiant battle with leukemia. I grew up listening to that trio sing very beautiful and moving songs.
Their's was a harmony that was unmatched in any genre of music.
If you have never heard them sing, please do yourself a favor and pick up one of their CDs, you will not be disappointed in what you hear. and you will then understand what I mean when I say that heaven's choir just got a new lead singer.

Note: I was going to post a very clear, sharp picture of that praying mantis tonight, but decided that Mary Travers was by far more important. Tomorrow, I will post the picture.

A beautiful dedication, Mike, to a truly beautiful and gifted singer. I, like you and so many, grew up with their music, and was actually just listening to some of my personal favorites last night. A more fitting tribute to this wonderful woman, I cannot imagine. The world, for certain, will be less for her light.

science has proven that sound goes on forever; once a sound is made it's waves never stop; it's how those massive hearing stations can hear the explosions of stars galaxies away. Mary's voice is still with us, not only in recordings, but surrounding us always; a voice like hers will be welcomed indeed into the beautiful celestial choir. great memorial Mike!

Thanks for letting us know Mike... I didn't know she passed away... If I would of known earlier today, I definately would of done a Dragon picture - which I still haven't (In 3D, I do have my painting posted) Long live their music.... long live - PUFF THE MAGIC DRAGON
