Hi, I'm Marilyn.  I've been posting here on RR for a few years now and thought it was time to update my profile.  It's been wonderful learning so much from the amazingly talented people here.  I've had the chance to meet many in person and some have become great and good friends.  Starting with a Kodak Brownie camera when I was about 7 or 8, moving up to Instamatics, Polaroids, then the Pentax K1000 that really got me on the way, I've been looking at the world thru a lens for a long time.  Got the bug honestly; my dad was a photographer and gave me the gene!!  Digital changed the world and I jumped in with both feet.  You would've gone thru 100's of rolls of film in one day the way we can shoot and delete all day long.  Progess...it can be awesome sometimes.
At any rate, RR rocks, the talent is over the top and I'm just gonna keep on shooting!!
Thanks for looking and keep those cameras rollin'!!
peace.....marilyn

I'm about toast, too! LOL! Excellent capture. I haven't really looked at my similar shots yet, but we were standing in different places (and have such a different vision anyway). I'll be interested to see what we saw that's the same and what wasn't!

Poster art quality. The lighting really makes this photo. I must agree, there is no place in Leavenworth, Kansas that I'd find a similar scene. Big cities just produce for you if you have time to walk around:)

Looks like we missed way more than I would've liked! I don't recall even seeing any pedestrian tunnels. I am still so grateful for having had the opportunity to meet you all in person. Sleep well M'lady, I'm sure that my mom will, now knowing that there are others like me out there, off the wall, different way of looking at things. I love it!! Good night!

It does sound like we missed a bunch. Next time, there has got to be a next time we'll plan it out a bit better and then just whoop it up, LOL. Great capture. It was awesome getting to meet you in person and just hanging out.

It's a wonderful picture, Marilyn, nice angle, nice light, and the outside pouring in on the very far left...and the mood of this guy playing alone in the tunnel. It's not often that I can look in these galleries and say I "saw" what you guys captured. I saw this & you caught the mood beautifully. Did you talk to this guy too? He talked to Tara for a while, going into the relative merits of recorders (the instruments) and other things. And he played very well too. Really nice shot of a solo musician playing for money; and of an urban tunnel in all its grunge; and the light that happens as the outside world pours in. Glad you posted this...now to wait for Tara's version...
