Description

Here's a little something to let you know I got home safely. This is a shot from the plane of the Cascade Mountains. The big mountain in the foreground is Mount Rainier. To Rainier's right is St. Helens. The peak on the far left is Adams, and the one in the back is Mount Hood, which is down past Portland. Maybe after a couple days at home I'll be up to commenting again! LOL! I'm VERY tired after my trip to Chicago, but it was a fantastic experience, and I'm glad I went.

I never realized there were so many volcanos in the area. Spectacular shot! When I fly all the good stuff always seems to be on the other side of the plane.

Wow great work. I still have the National Geographic edition that featured St. Helens. It was brutal.

Fascinating. Looks like some folks have been surprised by you living in close proximity to these Pacific Rim famous volcanoes. If you ever get a day or better yet a weekend to drive south with a friend...go to photograph Mt. St. Helens from within the surrounding park. I did that in about 2000 when I had my first digital camera...the results were OK but with a new (modern) camera they could be spectacular.

It's nice to see the aerial view of these four mountains. On the rare occassion when I come out of Portland and weather conditions are right do I get to see all four of these peaks from I-5, but then only briefly. Thanks and I'm glad that you are okay and home safely. Wonderful photo

I love this view, it's almost worth getting on a plane to see them all together like this. Glad you had fun, sounds like a winning weekend!
