Hi, I'm Marilyn. Â I've been posting here on RR for a few years now and thought it was time to update my profile. Â It's been wonderful learning so much from the amazingly talented people here. Â I've had the chance to meet many in person and some have become great and good friends. Â Starting with a Kodak Brownie camera when I was about 7 or 8, moving up to Instamatics, Polaroids, then the Pentax K1000 that really got me on the way, I've been looking at the world thru a lens for a long time. Â Got the bug honestly; my dad was a photographer and gave me the gene!! Â Digital changed the world and I jumped in with both feet. Â You would've gone thru 100's of rolls of film in one day the way we can shoot and delete all day long. Â Progess...it can be awesome sometimes.
At any rate, RR rocks, the talent is over the top and I'm just gonna keep on shooting!!
Thanks for looking and keep those cameras rollin'!!
peace.....marilyn

great capture!

Also amazing in the fact that you caught a couple of ghosts doing stretching exercises! They still had to hang around their old "haunts" and not proceed to where souls go when their time on earth runs out.

Awesome capture, what I didn't realize was that helmets are part of ballet safety gear, such as what seems the girl on the left is wearing.

I was there when your eyes popped out and you said, "there are dancers dancing in there," but I had no idea what shots you were getting. These dancers really are clear & visible, only with that ghostly presence you get from two windows & lots of sooty air in between. Amazing positions, and closeups too. Great comment from Dave, I didn't know that was protective head gear—but it would make sense. I remember you talking about ballet & how hard it was (you talked about dancing on 'point'). Ronnie said he wishes he could get his leg up there. Well lemme tell ya, I can get it 'up' there (yoga)—it's getting the sucker down that's the problem. Love the play of reflections & light. And I didn't even know we had a Joffrey here! Shows you how little I know...

This is surreal and extraordinary photography! And to be able to see the possibility here is impressive.
