Description
September 13th, “Turn right at the window”, was the last post in this on going series.
Starting this set out with a little comparison of the two lenses used primarily on my trek. “Turn right at the window" was taken with a 12:24 wide angle lens. I have stepped forward only 4 meters and snapped this one with a 52 mm Nikon lens. The detail is much more defined comparatively to the 12:24 wide angle. Take the small bits of ruble broken away from the slick rock at my feet.
Guilty as charged for my insistent use of the 12:24 wide angle lens in this wilderness area. In my own defense it is a unique landscape with such panoramic beauty that anyone would find it hard not wanting more in that photo ~ smile.
Started on July 25th with this series. For everyone that has come along from the start a special thanks. Your kind comments, encouragement, and genuine interest in this not only unique area, but a favorite place of mine have been heart warming.
Thanks for any comments or favs you wish to leave.

I should also note the camera body being an old 35mm N2020.

Gorgeous image! And I agree that the 12-24 is a very good choice, too, for the reason you mention. It's the kind of experience that can't be adequately shared but transforms you. I understand this. You -really- make us want to go there.

I knew I'd seen this place you have been shooting before. I finally found my old copy of ARIZONA magazine and they had a large spread on it. :-) Lucky you got to see it while I have been thumbing pages in a magazine. Gorgeous view!
