I stopped yesterday at a store and saw these clouds and grabbed a few shots.good I did because when I came out they were gone.first time for me to see such a formation. if there are any metallurgists among the crowd here, they can identify them they are wave clouds http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:Wave_clouds.jpg thanks for viewing and any commets

Amazing. If it would be a sepia color, I would say this is a sand pattern on a shore. Lucky you for the fast acting and capture this interesting formation.

When in Montreal I did see some weird formation this is fantastic and great shot Richard !! Ps as mention previously -- I'm way behind in comments so much that I am just going to go with the latest ones lol--got back from Canada Tuesday night to find 808 e-mails most from here can't do it (carpal tunnel ))I may get some time in the future to browse however:

Interesting cloud formation. Seems I read something somewhere about this type of clouds---I think they are called tunnel clouds. I could be wrong.
