Description

Like the Sirens of old Lucia called the ship in to shore and made short work of the crew. She, however, used the lighthouse to bring them in. It always worked, no matter how often she did it because no one on the ships were left alive to tell any others. She would get them to shore and offer them food, drink and what ever else they wanted. Once the poison in the food and drink took it’s toll she would loot the ship and rig the wheel to sail it out to sea again and once it was there the explosives she had fixed to the hull sent the ship to the bottom, never to be seen again and where none would know it had ever been here. This time she had got a pirate ship and it had been loaded with booty the pirates had taken from a Spanish galleon. Silks and fine cloth, gold, silver, jewels and this bird. She had already stowed the treasures away deep within the caves on the island and soon the pirate ship would be no more. She was happy with the haul this time but the thing she found the most satisfying was the Parrot that the old Captain had kept on his shoulder, even when she had given him food and drink at her own table he had had that bird with him.. Talkative sort it was too.. Now all it said was “Poor Captain”. It had only taken a few hours to teach it that. She found it amusing because after a little food and repeating that over and over, not only did the bird learn the words but he didn’t seem the least bit bothered that the Scurvy old Captain was no longer about. Yes, a very amusing bird. “We’re going to get along just fine” she said to the Parrot. “Poor Captain” was all it replied..

Hope you like this one. Took me all night and all day yesterdaay. Had to render it 4 times to get it the way I wanted it plus I had this bird I wanted to use. Kind of tired as I haven't slept yet and it's 9 AM. Been up 26 hours because I wanted to finish this picture. I'm beat so I'm going to bed but glad I finished....gene

Did the stars a dot at a time using a mouse to put them in.. Man are my fingers tired...hehehehe... it is nerve racking to sit and click-click-click for hours and try not to slide your fingers while making them... had to delete many times (in photoshop) just to get rid of "bad" stars... still this has been a lot of fun to make and am most happy that some have "favorited" this work already.. I greatly appreciate it my friends... I am sending a special note out to those that have done so because I worked hard on THIS one and am thrilled that you recognized that... that and a comment too???? that is way kool my friends... Thank you much...gene
