Description
Took this shot while wandering a small cemetery I spotted as I drove down a rather rural road. It was a cloudy, gloomy day and the cemetery was surrounded by large trees on three sides but my shots came out pretty well for hand held.
I have to admit it was a bit eerie walking out there alone. It was rather windy which caused bits of bark and small branches to fall and hit the ground occasionally. I looked over my shoulder more than once.
I liked this statue because it had a resident spider who had built his web over the heart and across the arms. Almost as if saying "I embrace you".
Thanks for having a look.

It's a great shot for a hand held. All of mine are hand held. I like the resident spider, after all we are all God's creatures, big and small.

This is a fantastic shot, handheld or not! I love the treatment and the wonderful clarity. There's something in the color that strikes me as dreamy...really dream-like in a way that I can't really define. Something about it just feels right, and I think its in the overall composition, and the fact that I tend to like statues, even if they are religious in a way that goes contrary to me...oh well. Great work. A fantastic photo.
