Description

To all my friends here. I am so frustrated. My best buddy, my cat Talkie I believe got attacked this morning. I wont go into details of why I think that, but I have my reasons. Anyway, before I left to run some errands this morn, I found some blood on the floor near the cat door. He was in the back yard with his eye badly bloodied and lethargic. It looks to me like he was either kicked in the head or hit with something. Vet says it was Blunt force trauma. Also said he has fluid in the lungs likely because of the trauma. He is at the Animal hospital right now and will stay over night. They did x-rays and can not tell if there is a skull fracture because of all the trauma to the area, its too unclear to see. But he said it is possible. And he is too old to do any surgery on if it is. Most likely he will at the least lose sight in his eye. Wost case, well, we won't think about that. He is one of the nicest and kindest cats I have ever owned in 30 years. Even the people at the hospital said over and over how sweet he is and he is purring as they were working on him... Poor old fella (about 14 yo)! I am just asking for all to send him some well wishes, positive thoughts, prayers, whatever you want to call it- his way. Its a shame some people are like this in the world. I will keep you updated when I find out more. Thanks for your time. -Bruce PS, i should say that I have contacted the ASPCA here and they are suppose to get back to me about it all today.

That's horrible!! Talkie is such a beautiful kitty!!! My thoughts and prayers are with both of you And PLEASE, if you have any evidence of who did this to him, call your local police dept. Working at a police dept. I can tell you that the police HATE animal cruelty and will do their best to help you out.

Oh my, Bruce...I am so very sorry to hear this happened to your cat...makes my stomach turn just thinking about it...I have a few pets myself and my cat is my best friend...I'd be so lost without her. Best of luck and I hope I get to hear everything turns out for the best with him.

What a sad story. My daughter recently run to the island on one of the busiest roads in Pretoria to save a Foxy.We kept it overnight in our Flat and i contacted the SPCA they next day.They came and fetched it the same day that i contacted them.I contacted them on the Monday of the next week to find out if they put The Dog out.they didn't.What a relieve for my two Daughters when i told them The Fox Terrier were not put out. My friend my prayers are with you as i am in love with everything of Nature.It is terrible when something like this happens to someone so close to one of us.Stunning capture and The Lord knows your heart and sole and that this beautiful animal is very close to you and very special to you. I was a vet tech for 21 years, and saw more things I wish I could forget involving abuse trauma. I feel for you and your beautiful gentle cat. I wish you both the best. Great portrait shot!

I'm so sorry to hear about your cat. I have a cat and would freak out if something like that happened to her. I can't beleive anyone would do something to hurt such a beautiful animal. I hope everything works out fine and he recovers fast. Best wishes David :)
