To all my friends here.
I am so frustrated. My best buddy, my cat Talkie I believe got attacked this morning. I wont go into details of why I think that, but I have my reasons.
Anyway, before I left to run some errands this morn, I found some blood on the floor near the cat door. He was in the back yard with his eye badly bloodied and lethargic. It looks to me like he was either kicked in the head or hit with something. Vet says it was Blunt force trauma. Also said he has fluid in the lungs likely because of the trauma.
He is at the Animal hospital right now and will stay over night. They did x-rays and can not tell if there is a skull fracture because of all the trauma to the area, its too unclear to see. But he said it is possible. And he is too old to do any surgery on if it is.
Most likely he will at the least lose sight in his eye. Wost case, well, we won't think about that.
He is one of the nicest and kindest cats I have ever owned in 30 years. Even the people at the hospital said over and over how sweet he is and he is purring as they were working on him... Poor old fella (about 14 yo)!
I am just asking for all to send him some well wishes, positive thoughts, prayers, whatever you want to call it- his way.
Its a shame some people are like this in the world. I will keep you updated when I find out more.

PS, i should say that I have contacted the ASPCA here and they are suppose to get back to me about it all today.

Talkie is so beautiful, all positive thought coming your way. What makes people do things to our beautiful animals. Hope its good news, he is in capable hands.

Poor cat, you probably devastated. How can someone hurt such a beautiful animal??? I feel pain reading your comment... Good luck Talkie.

Oh, I'm so sorry!! He is a beautiful cat! Looks a lot like my cat, Musket, I used to have...he too, was a wonderful kitty!! I saw your most recent post and had to come back to see what had happened. I will continue to pray for his healing. Poor thing! I'll pray for you too, because I know how much he must mean to you! Best wishes, Talkie and NIghtGallery!

Ohh, I am sooo sorry to hear this. It is hard to believe there is someone out there who would intentionally hurt an animal. I hope he heals quickly. I send you prayers and good wishes. ~HUGS~

I had to check your next posting before reading all the good wishes to you here. I'm glad Talkie is home I hope everything went well on Monday. It's hard enough when disease or an accident hurt our animal friends, but when it is malicious intent, sorrow is compounded by anger and frustration. All my best wishes to your sweet and beautiful friend.
