Description
My surfer** friend from the other day--he got his last wave and was ready to leave. I love the little golden tone on the water, and (ok, yeah, he's not so bad to look at either!!)
Guess you must know by now I do have a thing for surfers. Comes from growing up as close to the beach as I could be, every chance I got. They are a special breed, have a love of the ocean that's deep and real. I don't surf (not yet anyway, I haven't given up hope!!), but I share that love. It's where I am most at peace.

You get such great and unique colors in your beach photos...I only seem to get gray, blue, green and white:)

Ya gotta try surfing. I grew up with it too...living not far from Galveston beaches and then moving in my early married years to San Clemente where most of the high school kids turned out each morning for an hour of surfing before dressing for school.

Looks like this an interesting week for me, first I got to be a genie, now tonight Cheri wants me to play the role of a surfer dude! ????? I'm beginning to wonder what's going on, and need to go dig out my board shorts and zinc oxide. This is a pretty cool shot. Love the board, and .....oh.......I get it,..sigh. This is just totally cool, gnarly dude!

You and surfers! It reminds me of...well...me with ballet dancers (or Russian photographers...at least one in particular) but that's a good thing! This shot really pops with life. It's amazingly crisp and I love the almost honey-like color. Fantastic work, and I wouldn't be surprised to find myself taking pictures in the future and seeing you zipping by on a surfboard. Well...I might be on one too, I've never surfed but it looks like something I'd get into and it's WAY safer than base jumping! Great work! I like this.
