Description
The air is cold and crisp. The smell of burning wood from the fireplaces and wood burning stoves is everywhere. The maple trees have already turned red. The others are starting to follow suit with yellows. Some remain stubborn and won’t give up their green yet. The animals are getting the thick fur coats. Fall is definitely in the air. This is my favorite time of the year. I love all the sights, sounds and smells of fall. This doesn’t last long enough for me. I have noticed the older I get the less I tolerate cold weather, but without a little chill we wouldn’t have this. I spent a lot of time tonight picking out which photo I was going to post. It was such a hard decision. Tomorrow we are going up north a ways. Dave’s aunt and uncle are celebrating their 50th. My camera is going with me of course. I am the chosen photographer for Dave and his mom. I am hoping to get some really great fall shots up there too.
Well, I leave you with this vision and hope it brings you into my fall.

It is so wonderful when the trees shed their green as the sap goes back into the roots for winter. I hope you catch more like this when you head up north! Wonderful colors!

It is always a charm the Autumn. I believe well that I will do one small turn in nature Sunday when Monday. Cheer and mile mercies. Beautiful work ((5++)) C'est toujours un charme l'Automne . this is a spectacular shot! I don't get around much any more ...so my lack of photos..I was looking forward to this kind of adventure ..I'm glad you are getting that!! Tommorrow they are talking the first snow fall ..the leaves haven't even turned yet ..up to 2 inches..yikesss!!

This is a beautiful shot sweetie. I love the two trees, one all splashed with vibrant color, the other stubborn and still maintaining its green. This most definitely portrays most clearly the end of the summer we almost had this year,....well that and the fact that no one is running around half naked any more! It sounds like we'll have to get more of these today, the snow is coming, and once that hits, most of these will just drop what they have in a matter of days. I'm sorry for getting here a bit late, the boys came by last night, and we went downstairs to continue a bit more of the battle. Things went really well for our side, totally decimating several of the enemy front ranks. The worst part of that, is that now leaves our front ranks vulnerable to their second rank charge,.......soon the pain begins for us.

So pretty, all I have is pines mostly and they do not change color, least they smell good, as to the fire smoke it makes me sneeze and I reach for the allery tablets...LOL

Beautiful shot! Is it just me, or are the maples alot more red this year? Not that I'm complaining, because they sure are beautiful!
