Description

I was waiting for Chip (who'd gone into the bookstore you see--with all the windows) in the Waterworks Park in Chicago. The carriage guys were just standing around, waiting for something to do. I thought it was funny that the man in the cape was talkin on his cell phone--something really surreal about that! I also like how the car that was passing by became just a blur, almost ghostly.

If it wasn't for the rather modern store windows at the back, it could easily have passed as a scene from the previous century! Lovely image Marilyn! :)

Neat title on a night-time shot that has all the magic most of us would like to include...the coloring, the silhouette, the bluured car, the interesting people and animals. Well done.

Excellent capture. The caped guy on the cell was the first thing that struck me. A great cityscape.

Stellar clarity and nighttime lighting effects in this shot, Maz! The chap in the cape is actually the Phantom of the Opera, tired of being cooped up in the dark recesses of the theater, and out for a stroll. In his case, the cellphone is an anachronism.

A nice catch! All is clear and sharp and the differences are something crazy. A collaboration of oldfashioned and new. And the crown of all is the man with the phone.... Something surreal.

So this is what you were doing as I was in there! This is a fantastic shot. I love it! Chicago at night is wonderful at times, especially on the Gold Coast, and especially when somebody is in the process of being presented with a book from my favorite contemporary author (outside of...well...me.) I love this! I seem to have been oblivious and missed your birthday, so I am saying now...Happy Birthday! Victor says happy birthday too...only he said relayed the message in cyrillic, and it sounds nothing like Happy Birthday in English. Oh well... I love this shot! It reminds me of Prague in a way, and that's always a good thing. I think it's the guy in "traditional" garb, talking on his cell phone. In the center of Prague, in the tourist spots...you see lots of guys in powedered wigs talking on cellphones! I love that!
