Description
Ok, most of the time I wear flip flops. My feet love them and so do I. I walk miles and miles in them, they take me wherever I want to go. But walking the streets of Chicago, seeing women wearing the HOTTEST shoes I've ever seen, well, it did something to me. I look at them, know I'd kill myself with the first step, but OMG--look at these SHOES!!! This is the Jimmy Choo** store, and for those of you who don't know who he is--well, he IS shoes, the higher, the skinnier, the hotter, the better. I would imagine these run about a grand or more, so I won't be getting them in every color, but...*sigh*....I can dream. In the meantime, I DO have flip flops in just about every color!!

That's not bad for Jimmy Choo's!!! I saw a pair in NYC for over $2000... in 2007!!!! Grrr - Even if I have the bucks, I refuse to pay that much for shoes!!! I'm SO with you on flip flops!!! :)

Neat shot of one of those 2.5D advertisements for ladies shoes in Chicago. Floooopppp! The sound you hear is me falling to the street over the price of shoes like this. The store I go to for shoes does get as much as $100-150 out of me for a pair of shoes but a man only buys on average one pair of shoes a year. My shoes store owner says women but ten times that many. When three os us visited the Windy City in early June, shoes like this were in evidence. I have a fine collection of f***-me heels, but no longer the inclination or indeed opportunity to wear them. But a girl can dream! My flip-flop collection must rival yours, though!

My closet floor is full of flip-flops and Birkenstocks, and a couple pair of sneakers. I haven't worn shoes like this since the early 80s, and won't be doing it again! LOL! Great shot, though. Nice work!

Cool capture of the hot pumps and the well turned ankles, Maz! But, I was just reading an article about the many physical woes caused by this type of footwear. If women were supposed to wear these than they would have been born with them already in place. Not really. As for flip flops, I think I've already said my piece on that particular subject. What ever happened to a good pair of New Balance or Dr Scholl walking shoes?

You couldn't get me to turn in my flip flops for anything with a heel higher than one inch. I never could understand why anyone would wear spikes or points anywhere other than ...well for your boyfriend. They certainly aren't made for walking are they? cool shot though.

Ah...shoes! I have no idea why someone would pay more than $1000 for something you put on the ground on purpose! But I have to admit, they're quite spectacular. Thankfully, Chicago doesn't have cobblestone streets! Prague does, but Czech women have this inhuman ability to wear extremely high heels while walking at speeds approaching Mach-3 across uneven cobblestones. It's amazing! I would often trip and fall, just watching them. This brings all of that back because these are clearly expensive, colorful, eye-grabbing, and worthy to be worn by some goddess like Monica Belucci, although she probably prefers flip-flops too. This is great work. The colors hold a gorgeous contrast...hot tones and cool off-whites. Perfect.

The Jimmy Choo web page had flip flops for $95.00. I always marvel at dancers dancing in high heels. Barefoot, or if I must, comfortable walking shoes or sandals for me. Excellent capture.

If you are poor you could get the Peep Toe Pumps in snakeskin for the bargain price of $795. I am my mother's child. I always look for three criteria; practical, long lasting and cheap.

OH WOW! I see what you mean. They are really a peace of art each one. But getting my flat feet into them would be catastrofe. LOL. I would break something, before I take a step. I have flip flops too and a pair of good sneakers for walking. Excellent capture a and HOT link :-)))
