Description

A street tree in Chicago. I'm so used to the trees that grace our streets here, I don't give them a second thought. We have maple and cherry, maple, maple and maple, maple and cherry. Perhaps the occasional flowering plum, just for variety. Did I mention maple? We have a lot of those, as well as a few maples. In Chicago they have such a wide variety of trees on the street! My head was on a swivel, trying to look at everything all at once. I have no idea what sort of tree this is, but trust me when I tell you it isn't a maple. I know!

Neat composition and color. If there was a blacksmith shop under it, I'd guess it was chestnut. Or if it were here in Colorado, I'd guess cottonwood. But I don't know. What I do know is that feeling, though. Trees can have so much personality.

Spam, spam, spam, eggs and spam. This is a beautiful tree whatever it is. We have mostly palm trees here in southern California and all they do is drop fronds on your car.

Maple trees eh? Interesting! :| What a wonderful tree and image Tara. It reminds me of the old oak tree I captured last Saturday at the Johannesburg Country Club! I took a very similar shot!! Great minds do think alike!!! :)

Trees and their branches follow a fractal pattern that is the same as our arteries and veins. Looking at the resultant twisting, turning equation illustrates how smart mother nature is at mathamatics. You have captured a fundamental formula at its visual best.
