Description

While at Yellowstone I noticed a small bus with some Amish folk near by. (pictured in back left) I admire the Amish, the Plain People, because of their devotion to their faith and to each other as a tight knit community. They are proud and content with their way of life. But, I'm pretty sure they don't care to be stared at (who does?!?) For this reason I did not take the photo until these women had passed by me. I thought they were a lovely vision with their head Kapps and the way their aprons matched and also how they walked together - almost in synchronization. I couldn't resist this photo of them and I hope they would approve of it. I am pleased with the results of this shot. I think they are beautiful. Jodie

I see them visiting at the State Capitol here. Except for their clothing they are just like anyone else as far as I can tell. More than once, I have wanted to stop and talk with them and see what has brought them so far from home and so far from their own community. Great shot.
