Computer geek extarodinaire, I love to tinker with gadgets and tech items to get them to do what I want. I'm either logically artistic or artisically logical. I'm also rude, crude, semi-barbaric, socially unacceptable, and totally psychotic. On the bright side - I am potentially harmless. I'm currently trying to write some short stories about the fae as well as a novel on those same fae as well as two other novels. The programs I have for photo and image editing are: Photoimpact from Ulead, Adobe Photoshop 7 and Corel Paint Shop Pro 2X. Recently I've added DAZ Studios as well as Terragen, Blender and Google Sketch to my list of programs crowding my hard-drive. All this and much more on an old Pentium III 450 with 396 Megs of memory and operating Windows XP. It does get interesting at time.As of December 26, 2008, I have added Vue 7 Pioneer to my list of reason of why I'm going insane.
As of January 2010 I upgraded to a new HP 2 dual core processor with 6 gigs onboard mem with 4 gig powerboost and 2.07 terabytes of Hard drivesMy email is faemike55@gmail.com

lol....LOL.... OK, MIKE... I gotta explain why I'm Laughing, I posted something like this over a year ago... still smoking... but, I too plan on making the big jump to a healthier life come wednesday. I'm going to be moving Wedsday through the end of October. I don't want to smoke in my new place... a new place, a new change, a new me... So my Friend, let's talk to each other and check on each others progress.... I'll be your stop smoking buddy - after Tuesday Night, of course... GOOD LUCK MY FRIEND, but I suggest you train your brain to say: "I STOPPED SMOKING" ....Reason? well, we are trained never to quit, so don't say I quit... say: I STOPPED SMOKING.... I'll be here for you man, GOOD LUCK... anything you can say or do to help stop the insanity? a bet? I'm down for just about anything.

Excellent news Mike! You are not only improving your life but the life of all those who love you. You might try acupuncture if you need the help. It worked for my mother and she smoked for fifty years.

WOW....Excellent, very nice move!

Great Mike! I quit cold turkey 16 years ago, but not quite early enough as I later had to have heart surgery mostly because of the years of smoking. Now, people can smoke around me, even in my home, and it doesn't bother me at all. When I quit, I was smoking just over a pack a day and it was costing $270 per month. After 10 years I bought a brand new loaded Jeep Sahara and still had two grand left over. Oh, I don't ever cough anymore either. Keep at it guy - it gets easier every day!

Cold turkey is the only way! My neighbor also stopped smoking and I promised him a case of beer if he wouldn't smoke until the next spring. Proud of you!

Mike, i've known many that have beat this. i work as a Health, Safety and Environmental officer in the Gulf of Mexico, and i've talked at least 4 guys into quitting in an industry where the vast majority smokes, and smokes hard. and i've gotten several relatives to quit as well. so far only one or two want me dead; the most are grateful for the support and very happy they quit, and stayed quit. i'm pouring all my strength your way mon ami!

Toughest road you will ever take man, nicotine is more addictive that crack. I quit 13 years ago, hardest thing ever, but so worth it.

I'm also smoking a crap like this, have to stop smooking before our trip to Las Vegas, I already stoped smooking several times, the longest was 5 months, than I started again, it's a shame what we are doing with our bodys!!! Wish you success my friend, hug's Ute
DennisReed
Go for it Mike! I find it psychologically better to say you stoped smoking, as to saying you quit! Now start counting the days you have not had one, until you loose count! You're no quitter, you've decided to be smoke free, so stay determined! BTW, if you fall from this effort, don't let it chase you back to smoking full time. Admit you fell, pick yourself up, and start again.
mininessie
wohoooo for you Mike!!! i´m happy for you :D you know ..the work in progres must continue ¿heh? ;D hugs! Ines
