Description

Hi - thanks for having a look. Still doing Vue landscapes - I went for a bit more of a painterly feel with this one. The island is a procedural terrain that uses the new 'Recursion' filter. The material is a layered material that uses some of Chipp Walter's "Terrapak" rock textures, with an ecosystem of coconut trees, and some sand and grass materials - all controlled by altitude and slope. Sky and clouds started as a Vue preset and were developed into what you see here, with global radiosity lighting and spectral2 clouds. Image was rendered in Vue8i pre-release at 1920x720 at 'final' render settings with the quality for the light and atmosphere cranked to '4' This was a 17 hour render. Postwork was the usual levels adjustment, matting and titles. As always; appreciate your comments and feedback - have a great day!
