Description

Do yourself a favor and zoom on this one. I've left it really big. The detail is amazing! If you like art nouveau, it'll blow you away. If you see some clone marks that don't match up, just ignore it, will you? I took out a light post and some wires and a bracket on the wall and signs in the windows ... you get the idea. I'd rather you be distracted by some imperfect clone work than by light posts and wires and brackets and signs in the windows! I was shooting a series of shots of the front of this building, and Mark had that "what IS she looking at now?" expression on his face. All of a sudden he lit up and exclaimed, "Oh! The fire escapes! You're taking pictures of the fire escapes!" I'm like ... "WHAT fire escapes???" Turns out there are some totally cool fire escapes on the side of this building. I think one or two of those might have turned out. If I got a good one, I'll show it to you later. (I think Marilyn already did, but it's been a while.) It's just fascinating, the different things people see. Don't forget to zoom! ... p.s. It's all tile and marble ... no painting.

Chicago looks so beautiful through your eyes. You and Marilyn and the other Renderosity Ninjas (funny how that name just clicked and stuck) really brightened this city. And wow...you caught THIS as well. I have no idea where this is, and I like to think that I've been all over this city. NOW I'm gonna have to go looking for it! This is superb. The greens and whites are gorgeous, and the details...wow! I love good details, and you captured a stunning beauty here! WOW. Into my favorites this goes!

This is really nice..some great detail work around the windows..but this would be expensive and a pita to paint all those different colors in the intricate stuff..

What a super building it looks like most of the glass in the windows is original , the next time you pass chip off one of the big tiles with the woman's face on it and send it to me , the big picture detail is great they knew how to make tiles in those days.

OH yes Tara, I see what you mean. This is really art and so freaking beautiful, as I hope they will never blow this house away, but instead go on renovating it. Thanks for sharing this beauty.

You can get me every time with architecture like this! I get a big kick out of the fact you are showing Chip a city he has never seen before. Great shot. Thanks for all the cloning work...I didn't notice any marks, but I also wasn't looking:)

It is very lovely work. We have some very interesting old buildings here including a couple that have integrated both art deco and early roman architecture.

Wonderful color of the tiles. Great story about how selective our vision. We see things what is interest us while almost see trhough thing what else there. It happens with me too, we just human...lol.

A very beautiful building you captured here and I had to laugh about what each one sees. Hubby reckons I don't see things, but it is just that we are looking at different things.

Super in ZOOM mode. Had not noticed that they were all tiles. No visible marks with your postwork. Very well done with that. Also loved the distortions in the lower windows. Beautiful capture and presentation. Dana
