Description

This is a different ruin, then the previous post, but it clearly shows the “amphitheater” which was used for meetings, a dance plaza and ball court. No postwork with this type of photo - to show how it was. Scanned from a photo taken in 1995. Thanks for stopping by, taking a peak and for all your previous comments and favs. Dana

i heard chinese tourist aks about it.. why did they not remove it all.. it was old.. it was sad .. it was a waste of landscape i dissagreed.. but was outnumbered by them all they laughed about me.. threatend me... warned me to relax it should be gone.. replaced by sky scrapers and a modern opera house i did not dare to say i dissagreed

I wish I had a better sense of scale. I am trying to "see" the people around the amphitheater and how it might have been during a game or dance. I love seeing the planning on placement they had and the meandering walk show that the pace of life was not one of anxiousness and rush. The terraine is very interesting as well...

So glad you made it to the other ruins near by. Many just drive to the main ruin and back on the highway to see the Grand Canyon. Nice shot!
