Description

[best viewed full sized] This is the fourth picture of a mini series shot at Ingleton Waterfalls, North Yorkshire, about three weeks ago. This part of the River Doe (about half a mile downstream from my previous uploaded pic Beezley falls) is one of the few places on the trail where it is possible to get a low POV. The famous Waterfalls Trail has some of the most spectacular waterfall and woodland scenery in the North of England. The trail is 4.5 miles/8 kilometres through ancient oak woodland and magnificent Dales scenery via a series of spectacular waterfalls and geological features. With rare and interesting plants and animals and its importance as a geological site much of the Waterfalls Trail has been designated as a Site of Special Scientific Interest (SSSI) by Natural England. This long exposure capture was also taken using a neautral density filter, polariser and tripod. I have blended two differently exposed images from the same RAW file to try to show how this would look to the eye if you were there in person to see this. I have also boosted the colours and saturation a little as well as a slight alteration of levels and dodge and burn in photoshop and then used the neat image plug-in within a layer mask just on the water to remove any slight amounts of noise from that part of the pic. The colours in the water are natural caused by the high mineral content. Thanks for looking and any comments and critique are, as always, more than welcome and valued! Carl.
