Description
This is my great-niece, Makenna. She'll be four years old in a couple weeks. She's gone from being indifferent to the camera, to hating it, to loving it!
I took these shots at dinner the other night. Indoors, hand-held, zoom from the other end of the table, with a flash.
Thank you for hanging in with me for 1100 images! I'm still having a great time here, and still love hanging out with you all. This is a wonderful community ... you guys are the best!

Another significant milestone! Keep 'em comiing. Your selection of a subject for this is just right. Now, anybody who skips the ZOOM is missing at least 50% of the "wow-factor" of this superlative presentation. The eyes are amazing. So glad Makenna's coming around to liking the camera again. Read/heard a truism the other day...the most difficult time for the photographer is when a child has learned to "smile" for the camera.

WOW! 1100! Congratulations on that! Like so many people here, I can't imagine life without Renderosity--it's amazing how something as simple as an internet-based art gallery can generate so much. It's a place to display art, to share it, to express opinions, and most wonderfully, a place to make friends you'd probably never have met otherwise! Whenever people say something about the limits of the internet, and how "virtual" communities are somehow less real than meat-based communities, I always point to Renderosity as an example that disproves their nay-saying. I love doing that, especially since many of my closest friends outside of Europe are fellow members of Renderosity. As for this picture! WOW! Its a wonderful piece of work. She IS an adorable model; she's so rich and full of life. Wonderful lighting and I love the darkened background that focuses your attention on her! Ah...and judging from her clever, impish expression, she probably likes attention too! This is perfect, heart-warming work.
