Another shot from MooseRidge, taken in late July. I forgot to ask what kind of tree this was, but given where it was in the garden and what I can tell of the bark, it's probably some sort of exotic birch. If anybody knows, shout it out!

I agree with the birch tree but am leaning toward White Birch. The woodpeckers have really done a job on this tree. Love the patterns. Beautiful capture! Dana
