I'm not sure what all to say about myself, I live in Ann Arbor, Michigan (USA) and work as a graphic designer/computer technician for a print shop. I have a BS in Historic Preservation, but wasn't willing to go on for a Master's Degree, nor was I interested in teaching, so I found another career. I discovered Bryce way back when version 1 came out, but I didn't really get serious about the program, or 3D art in general, until a few years ago. When I'm not in front of the computer, I'm either making costumes or wearing them to a renaissance festival, or building a new rock-sculpture, or possibly wandering with a camera.
When I'm not making something, odds are I'm reading from my far too wide range of interests: Astronomy, Cosmology, Physics, Archeology, Anthropology, History, Current Events, NASA (of course) and anything else that happens to catch my attention. It's really hard to find enough time to do all of the things I want to be doing! What drew me to Renderosity is the many excellent artists who continue to inspire me to push myself as an artist. More recently I've added a selection of stuff to another online gallery location:http://nefariousdro.deviantart.com/ÂÂ

Don't get me wrong, this looks very good, but I kina think you probably shouldn't have toned down the space background, as once you see the grandure of space, nothing mankind can do can compair, I just can't beleive how impressive Hubels realitivly low res pictures are, whats out there is so much vaster and so much more impressive than anyone can realy imagine. I just get so ticked thinking of all the time we've wasted, if things had procieded as they were planning in the sixtys, we would have real space stations everone could travel too, lunar bases, mars bases, etc. but everything got delayed, and now its gona be delayed again, no shuttles and no replacement for at least 5 years, what a total shame, we have the technology we need to just do it, not say this costs too much, hell for the buget NASA has, we could do all of it, real space stations with thousands of people and moon bases, mars bases, a fleet new shutles, new rockets , new space planes, all sorts of probes, new better larger space telescopes, the works, we need to stop throwing money in the tolit, paying thousands of desk jockys who do nothing but put road blocks in the way. NASA's budget is in the hundreds of billions, more than the GNP of half the countrys in the world, its a hell of a lot of money but it goes, mostly to over management, some goes to research and a lot of NASA's budget is hidden in other research projects, but very little of that money is going to the right place, getting us out their and while they say 5 years, we all know its gona be a lot more, and someware things will be delayed still more, even if we do get another moon landing out of it in 10 or 15 years. What are we gona do while the new rocket is developed, what if another country launches a military platform, what if that big asteroid picks the next 5 years to finaly show up, sure its a lot of what ifs, but a bird in the hand is better than nothing for 5 years, so I hope all of you, send a little note to your represenatives in congress, to put a bit of money to save the shuttle till there are other heavy lift space craft avalible.

I kind of like it. Nice work.

Yeah, the trusses and the solar panels really add a great deal to the model.

Nice work as usual, you never fail to impress!

Great work. I like "keeled" space stations--I think it's the "modular" aspect of them that I like. The scene as a whole is fantastic and your planet really rocks. (Oh wait, it's a rocky planet so I guess I made a terrible pun, but there you have it.) The ships in the background lend a sense of "industry" to the whole image and I love the faithfulness to realism you always maintain, especially in terms of the nebula in the background. That sort of washed out color is apparent a favorite among planetary nebulae, and it works perfectly here. Your use of light and shadow is great and yeah, those struts and panels/vanes are superbly detailed and realistic!!! I love that, of course. This is great work.
