Description

A low to the ground view; where perhaps the image could have used more softness and a more dense population of grass in the foreground. The plant models are as follows: • The Noble Tree – Created by ‘Walli’ and available at the Planetside forum web site. • Mouse Eared Chickweed – Created by ‘Walli’ and available at the NWDA web site. • Wild Grasses – Created by ‘Walli’ and available at the NWDA web site. • Groundstuff Dirt Pack – Created by ‘Walli’ and available at the NWDA web site. • Base layer stones/sand – Created by ‘dandelO’ and available at the Planetside forum web site. In all, the terrain is a combination of two terrains; the distant land was created by me and height adjusted to fit the scene. The foreground terrain is a simple procedural base. Surprisingly, render time was only one hour fifty-three minutes. Enjoy.

Wonderful scene- as I look at it, I get the feeling we are on the edge of where the plains begin to give way to desert. I'll bet those trees have tap roots a mile long to reach down to the water far below. This is the kind of place where you have room to breath and wander.

nice work, actually you do tend to get sparse vegitation around big trees so this rings true as a render, excellent

Thank you all. @ Mark; wish I were proficient enough to create some of these presets on my own where I could come up with 100% of all settings. That is a long way off. As one who is still learning, I have a long way to go before Terragen 2 becomes second nature to me. Yet, learning from some of the pros is a fun experience.
