Description
Frank Hernandez is the Chief of the Newton Wyr Insect Abatement Patrol (aka the Bug Patrol), he also is half of of Newton's "police force" which means the county gave him a certificate that lets him arrest people,carry weapons, write tickets and turn in crime reports to the "real" cops in Wellington. His cousin Ossie does the "day shift" at the station.
Frank needed a photo for his Ground Vehicle License, so he had Dawn take this one. It looks like it was taken in the equipment shed down by the factory pool (it's to the left of the concrete pipe sections in the parking lot of Something in the Water Two, you can't see it because of the trees), and he's not wearing his watch, his Aer ID tag, or his uniform jacket, plus it's during the day so he and Dawn are probably off duty. I'm thinking this was taken *before* he and Dawn had the big fight, sometime in May.

Franks' morphs still aren't quite right for what I had in mind--he got his nose hit with a shovel handle while firefighting a few years ago, and while it's moved a little to the right, the morph is still pretty subtle. He does have an Aer name (which he denies, but the records clerk at the Wellington Hospital knows better..it's "Bluebells in a Meadow". Mrs. Hernandez ("Lily in a Meadow") insists that it's an old family name, but Mr. Hernandez said that unless she wanted to raise an axe murderer, she'd better give him a human name too.

i love this character's coloration. the texture of the wood behind him creates interest without drawing attention away from the figure. he's very red here, and i'm wondering if that's an attribute of being an Aer? i kind of like that his tattoo is faded, though he seems young for that. the background info is great. what big fight? and his Aer name is great, but his dad was right. it's even worse than the "Sue" Johnny Cash sang about. nice simple portrait; it leaves us wanting more!
