Description

On my way home today. After nearly three months away, it's time to see what it feels like. I'm ready to be in my own space, with quiet, peaceful and familiar surroundings. It's been a most unexpected journey. What I thought would be a short vacation turned into a spiritual retreat/quest. Now I get to think about it all, decided where my next journey will be. This journey will be one of the mind and heart, and aren't they the best??

Sounds like a great journey you've had and like in your beautiful picture, water is a symbol for rebirth, how appropriate

So cool. You've got me thinking of some more coastal shots I have from Maine that I keep thinking about using. I liked your title of Splish Splash the other day. I have a Splish Splash way back in my gallery but it is of a two year old grandson stomping in a puddle:)

Mind/heart journeys are always the best. Mine took me to Prague as a doorway to Moscow, and I don't regret that, even though the door grabbed hold of me and kept me there 2 years longer than my intended 3 month stay! I'm sure I'll get to Moscow soon, especially since I have at least two good reasons for being there...me and someone else...but what you wrote really drives that point home. You never know what path your live will take...and in many ways your image illustrates that perfectly. Life/time/circumstance are all parts of the same sea and even though we may swim in it, it's the currents we often don't see that drive us. What we feel and think is often what dictates our course. We may feel rudderless at times, but oh, what a wonder being ruddrless is! What freedom! Thank you for reminding me of that with this post. I love the image too, the subtle things in it such as the various textures within the water itself. WOW. This is great.

Quest of the heart, mind, and soul are never an easy journey to take, but they are very necessary to find peace within. This is a really great shot. Love the color and texture.
