Description

A sincere thanks to those that wished me wellness. ;~) Just wish I was well... lol. My apologies if the narrative becomes incoherent. In part I you may have noticed some ponderosa trees and a drop off. That drop is a canyon in the middle of this mesa. In the upper part of the canyon is a spring (more like a seep) that many small birds visit traveling from the Grand Canyon on there venture north. Leaving their mark by the numerous ponderosa trees found around the spring and the sparse tree, here and there in the Navajo sandstone of the mesa. Mention this for a couple reasons, one being impressed by the way mother nature works. Also because the two ponderosa trees in the left of Part 1 is a good landmark for the POV in this image. Part II is just left and a good 200 meters past those two ponderosa trees. From here the opening of the amphitheater can be seen. It is early April and so there are still sparse spots of snow, seen in the foreground above the shadow. The pools are shallow and have good reflectivity. Even the short little sage brush shows itself. Next post will be a full view standing in the entrance, here only a part of the amphitheater is seen. Thanks so much for the kind comments and favs on part I.

I like the little hollows where it looks like water has been until fairly recently. Beautiful color, detail and texture. Lovely extended vision across the mesa into the distance. Excellent!
