This is the same finger of lava that was next to my shoe in an earlier post. The cool wind blowing the heat away from me gave me a chance to get up close. Aloha and thank you for viewing

Lava of this type is always so sensuous. It forms such great, natural, abstract art and I particularly love the color that shines through here. It's a great contrast to the cooled-down-lava black. Wonderful work!

Oh ya! The texture of the flows before are fantastic. It almost has the look of slag, a by product of steel production.
