Description
This image is dedicated to Lior (lior). He is a good friend, and one of the kindest people I have ever known. The other day he told me his sister Rivka had died, and asked if I would do a dedication for her. Rivka was a wonderful sister, and was very close to their Father. Rivka admired her Father and dreamed one day she would marry a man like him. Sadly their Father died many years ago, and more recently they lost their Mom. Now that Rivka is gone the memories of their family being together are even more precious to Lior. I want to share with my friends one of those memories he will always treasure.
Memories Of My Family (For lior): While growing up their family didn't have a lot of money, but they did have love. Lior and Rivka loved their parents, and had a great life when they were young. Their parents spent time with their children, playing with them every day. Often they would go onto the porch and just spend the day laughing and talking. Rivka would always be close to her Father, and he would tell her stories. Lior was close to his Mom, enjoying the stories too. It may have seemed simple, but it was a magical world on that porch. You might see Rivka letting the family dog lick a cupcake, as their Mom laughed and rocked in her chair. This is my humble attempt to capture one of those moments he described. This is the image I had in my mind of this wonderful little family that Lior remembers when they were truly happy and I know many of you who have lost family members can relate and think back too I hope. My prayers are with you during this time of great loss my friend.

oh, this is a wonderful and touching tribute to Lior's family. it's a beautiful and treasured memory, beautifully displayed. the dog and the cupcake is sweet and the way way both parents are touching their children shows real love. this is wonderful work, Dave. I'm so sorry for Lior's loss, my thoughts are with him.

Wonderfully done and yes I can associate. In 2002 I lost my Mom on April 11th. While still grieving my Mom, I lost my hero who was my Daddy on July 22, 2003. Still today the emptiness lives with me. Too many times I've started to pick up the phone and call them with happy news or pressing issues but I guess Ma Bell doesn't cover phone calls to heaven...Gd bless you lior.

Very touching Dave. You are large in love with people. And you grant the savour of your labours to them to tell them a history. Cheer still and mile mercies of your nobilities for this Artist who lost his parents and his sister. Wow, so heart touching. I knew Lior had lost his sister within the past month or so, and his mother a few years ago. But I had never heard the wonderful stories that you just shared with us. This is such a beautiful dedication, not just the words, but the image that gives the words life. It has touched my heart, and now I want to cry tears of sadness for his loss and of joy for Lior for his loving family and the memories he will always have. I know he is thrilled over this. He sent me an email to make sure I didn't miss it. As always you did a great job with the poses and the expressions. Beautiful work and a beautiful heart you have!!!
