Description
This image is dedicated to Lior (lior). He is a good friend, and one of the kindest people I have ever known. The other day he told me his sister Rivka had died, and asked if I would do a dedication for her. Rivka was a wonderful sister, and was very close to their Father. Rivka admired her Father and dreamed one day she would marry a man like him. Sadly their Father died many years ago, and more recently they lost their Mom. Now that Rivka is gone the memories of their family being together are even more precious to Lior. I want to share with my friends one of those memories he will always treasure.
Memories Of My Family (For lior): While growing up their family didn't have a lot of money, but they did have love. Lior and Rivka loved their parents, and had a great life when they were young. Their parents spent time with their children, playing with them every day. Often they would go onto the porch and just spend the day laughing and talking. Rivka would always be close to her Father, and he would tell her stories. Lior was close to his Mom, enjoying the stories too. It may have seemed simple, but it was a magical world on that porch. You might see Rivka letting the family dog lick a cupcake, as their Mom laughed and rocked in her chair. This is my humble attempt to capture one of those moments he described. This is the image I had in my mind of this wonderful little family that Lior remembers when they were truly happy and I know many of you who have lost family members can relate and think back too I hope. My prayers are with you during this time of great loss my friend.

Buona serata Dave ! Lovely image, dedicated to a great guy and great artist. Following your story seems to see them, so to see this family together and happy. When there is unity and love the other problems become marginalized. Congratulations, dear friend, I'm sorry I wasted so much time to meet you. but it is never too late!

Wonderful portraying and story, Dave. Love the atmosphere in this one. The family joy is in the picture. And fine dedication for the fine person Lior is. I can relate much too well, to the fact of a family dying, one by one. I have felt it myself.. so i do know what Lior is going through. Wonderful childhood memory... it remind me of my own childhood. My parents were always there for me, just like in Liors story. It is a rare thing in 2010..and i often wonder what the result will be in the future...for the many parents which are not there for their kids.

Once again Dave, a wonderful dedi to Lior. The father here looks just like one of our National Cricket players here in South Africa. His hairstyle is exactly the same (or should I say lack of hair on the head and hair on his face). lol Nice work Dave, you are so sweet.

Beautiful image, as always, Dave. I like the father's long beard. It has an Amish feel. This image conjures up the safe, innocent mood of the imagined past -- as do all your images. You have a talent for doing that. :-)
