Description

i fear everybody knows by now i am a crazy guy, always in for a joke. martin suggested the design for an alternative flying machine and how could i resist? :-) we had a lot of fun designing our so different machines - it took quite some thinking(!) and drawing. he posted his version a little while ago and if you missed that, look for it, it is worthwhile. (look for groegnitram's gallery) the gas in the tank is a special and secret invention, it lifts when activated but it can also be regulated for less or no lift at all - there is no loss of the stuff and it will last forever! the propulsion machine is underneath the seat of the chair and it does not produce noise or bad fumes (another priceless invention of mine) my special thanks goes to andrea (durleybeachbum) and her brother, who helped me find out what no. 8 was. it is a "trafficator" (there is no dictionary mentioning this - these things were outmoded around 1960 and replaced by 'blinkers') the writing in the notebook is not very clear unless you go for the bigger picture.

You could earn a lot of money with an ecologic propulsion engine. Why not methane? Just create a hole on the seat....and a tank!

Charming! I would love to order one from you. :) (Next to no Dutch at all, and only a little Afrikaans. I have a friend who grew up in Den Haag, and two friends living in Suid Afrika. But I do my best!) :D

Genius at work again! You have planned for everything, even a "panic button". LOL I think you should have been an engineer, Koosie. Your special inventions would surely find a market. :))))) Wonderful concept and design! I can clearly see the fun you have with your inventions, and it is so much fun watching them materialize, on the screen. Thanks for sharing this with us.

GEWELDIG idee en een realisatie vol humor en daarvoor kennen we je al sinds een tijdje. Ik kan me voorstellen dat het geen eenvoudige klus is geweest om het te tekenen. Bewonderenswaardig werk.

I must have one! and failing that the fuel sounds most economical, how much is it worth for the secret recipe? It has the same design flaw as my brothers Mercedes taxi...no place to put your coffee! He had to make a holder for his cup out of stainless steel before he could start taking fares! This is really wonderful, Koosie!!

This is a brilliant work of genius, as has been said before. I love the "Trafficator" it sounds so...well...obscure. I'm with Andrea in that I'd need a cup holder for my coffee (or tea, or vodka) but that's not necessary...I suppose it could come in the options package. What I really like about this is the umbrella. I really must have one of these!

wonderful creation, Koosie!!!!:-))) Your chair seems confortable and safe!!! And your “secret” is genial:”eternal gas”... you can fly without the usual human concerns, either fumes or noise!!! And yet, a panic button!! Original and wise and the concept behind is a serious warning for the world! Your machine is fabulous and I would love to fly too...but you have just one place...In the next, you must invent a “side-chair”:-)))LOL! And the umbrella make it very “romantic”...LOL, even if it is a need... I saw the great fun, Koosie, of you both, changing ideas and inventing details:-)))!Thank you, very much, for the smiles:-))) And now,Koosie, you already can stop by, to watch Lalique in Gulbenkian!! (And i am flying too…in the net of an unknown neighboard :-)) LOL-I am without connection at home!)

just the best! I will visit Martin today too, to see what he did with this. The details are executed with total fidelity: It's a true technical drawing. But it's completely silly & playful as well...I love the rudders, the pedals, the whistle (how do you & martin come up with these visions, combining 2 completely different ages in one machine?), the umbrella (I believe astronauts always carry one), the handle for the whistle, etc, etc. Just packed with koosie-isms. I love the exhaust pipe too, and the "trafficator": I have no clue what that is, or ever was, but it's a great-looking little device. And you did the left-hand render on graph paper, which is a favorite for those of us who've worked on it many times. And the right-side render is beautifully done & modeled--your shading always deft & fine. (Always.) And your concepts are a riot...A really fine piece Koosie & a real delight; soooo good to see you & martin brainstorm, you two are a collaboration made in heaven. I have to get to a few more artists that I've missed for months (and haven't corresponded with either), so please forgive my leaving for now. But I'm not going to forget the others--I just need to leave for now. Wonderful commenting, this gallery is unique on RR: No one else does anything like it, and great to see so many uploads too. Another fav, but that's no surprise...hope to be back soon. Have a fine weekend in freezing NL!!!
