Description

This is the thorns of the acacia tree and a favourite for giraffes to feed on! I have watched them many times how they negotiate the thorns to get the juicy leaves between them... Amazing that they are not all full of weird piercings!!! I also have had the privilege to step in one of these puppies with flip-flops. They kind of go right through! That was not a particularly fun experience with a flip flop pinned to my foot! Thank you for visiting and for your welcome comments and favs on my "Stormy Seas" upload of yesterday! Ouch while painful I too can say for sure! It does let us wonder in awe at how Mother Nature comes up with such self defence strategies!

I like this one a lot. Apart frpm the menacing thorns it's got beautiful light and color. The POV is great with the intense blue sky in the background, and the DOF is really nice. Well done!
