Description

Cosmic-powered defenders of justice, the Cosmo-Knights are granted phenomenal power by a mystical artifact known as the Cosmic Forge. The forge visits people who have the will to become Cosmo-knights in their dreams and shows them all their possible futures if they choose to take up the mantle of interstellar justice. Most of those futures end in horrible deaths while defending all life. Those who accept awaken transformed into beings of incredible power. Those who decline just have a vague memory of their dream. But more dangerous to a cosmo-knight than death is the potential to be cast down from their role as universal defender. The Cosmic Forge knows the actions of every Cosmo-Knight it creates, and it knows when they have strayed from the path of justice. Those who fall to darkness are stripped of most of their powers. Once one has heard the very song of the universe, it can be a fate worse than death to have that stripped away.... Fallen Cosmo Knights are a classic staple villian in the Phase World setting. They have often picked up quite a few abilities through their travels and still have their cosmic weapon (which a cosmo-knight makes himself). They can also be great heroes who are trying to redeem themselves for past mistakes. In some instances, fallen cosmo-knights have regained their full powers just at the moment where they sacrifice their lives for the sake of the galaxy.
