Description

I know most of you have seen snow before. But what with Global Warming this is the first time in years we've had so much of it in Ghent, Flanders. It all came down in the night, and early this morning. From what I swept off my small kitchen dome roof I could have made a snowman (I was tempted, but - at my age - let it go). So this is a picture of snow, so what? Temperatures dropped ten degrees overnight a few days ago, and I felt cold everywhere. Now all of a sudden things have brightened up. Not only literally: I believe snow raises one's spirits. It sure did mine! (Still I expect rain on Christmas.)

How funny! We both posted shots today with the same title. Must be that great minds think alike. :-)

we have not had a major snow storm since 1978 when the snow was on the ground for 2 weeks, but 2 years ago next month, I had plenty of the stuff when I was driving through a blizzard in west Texas.I wanted to take a shot but when I opened the window the snow would go all the way across to the other window.I decided to spare my camera from the moisture
